Dear Blinkist, Thank you for the trial. I have now tried Blinkist about a day and listened to close to 9 blinks. I am unsubscribing. Maybe there is a good intention somewhere in the business mission, but I don't see it. I found very irritating the voices of the nine blinks I heard. It’s my impression the format of this "blinks" cheapen, minimalize and demean what is contained in full-length books. It's tasteless and forgettable. Imagine you're in a restaurant and you order a plain or gourmet meal and you receive a meal in a capsule. You direct your surprise to the waiter who replies, "Yes it’s tasteless, but take it with water and it will give you what you need." I find Blinkist encourages a lazy grasp for wisdom and cheapens principles of literacy, so all I can say again positively is... Thank you for the trial. Alan.
Developer Response Hi Alan, Thanks for getting in touch providing your feedback, it's much appreciated. Reading books-in-blinks will never replace the experience of reading the original work, but we're also not trying to compete with books, but to offer an alternative way to gain new perspectives faster. I am sorry that it didn't work for you. If you have any further suggestions for us, feel free to get in touch via [email protected]. Best, Blinkist Team
