Find My lets you view the location of your Apple devices, locate items you’ve attached AirTag to, keep track of Find My network accessories, and share your location with friends and family in a single, easy-to-use app.
Features
View the location of your iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Mac, AirPods, devices in your Family Sharing group, AirTag or Find My network accessories on a map, and get directions to their locations in Apple Maps.
When you can’t find your nearby device, AirTag or Find My network accessory, play a sound to pinpoint its location. Get the distance and direction to your AirTag or AirPods Pro 2 with Precision Finding.
Keep track of personal items with AirTag and Find My network accessories, and share these items with up to five other people. Everyone in the group can use Precision Finding to pinpoint the location of a shared AirTag when nearby.
If your missing device, AirTag or compatible third-party accessory isn’t nearby, the Find My app can still help you track it down using the Find My network. It’s all anonymous and encrypted to protect everyone’s privacy.
If you lose an item, you can temporarily share its location with others — including airlines — to help you find it. Simply share item location in the Find My app. Sharing automatically stops when you are reunited with your item and expires after seven days. Share Item Location recipients can open shared links directly in the Find My app to play sound and, on supported devices, use Precision Finding to location lost items when nearby.
Put your Apple devices in lost mode to lock the screen and display a message, or erase them remotely to protect your data. AirTag and Find My network accessories can also display your contact information to anyone who finds them.
Use the People tab to share location with friends and family so you can keep in touch, coordinate or know when a family member has arrived home safely.
Meeting up with people in person is now easier too. With iPhone 15 or later, you can use Precision Finding for directions that lead you straight to the person you’re looking for, whether at a park, a restaurant or even a music festival.
If you’re on an adventure without mobile service or Wi‑Fi, you can use Find My on iPhone 14 or later to share your location over satellite.
On Apple Watch, use the Find Devices app to view the current location of your Apple devices, Find Items to keep track of AirTag and Find My network accessories, and Find People to share your location with friends and family members.

For an Apple specific App this is utterly terrible Device: iPhone 13 Pro MaxDespite following all the proper instructions and resets Find My is still not locating my partners device iPhone 10XRBoth devices are fully updated identical Software her Device can Find me but despite me having the so called “ flagship “ phone I cannot locate her phone even in the Lounge!Utter disgraceful Apple have known about this for some time ( numerous calls to Tech Support for months and still it’s not been fixed. Works perfectly on my old iPhone 6 so why not on the so called flagship device Thankfully this will be the last iPhone I need to buyAnd finally a message to Apple ( if you actually bother to read these Reviews )Any intended purchases of a new iPad or any other devices will not take place as I no longer have much faith or trust ( like I used to have ) in you actually making sure the “ simple things “ work properly !You simply have become as second rate as Microsoft when it comes to fixing issues with productsI’m sick and tired of being advised ;“ reset iPhone “Just not bloody good enough !!!!!!!!!!Goodbye Apple

Thankfully, my partner and I have “find my” downloaded on our iPhones so I can track him when he drives back from my university accommodation which is 3 hours from our hometown. He had a terrible car accident a couple of weeks ago, and thankfully he survived and was okay, but I was on the phone to him at the time and heard it all happen. Because we have “find my” downloaded, I was able to call the police and tell him his approximate location, which enabled Highways England and the police to get to him and locate him swiftly. HOWEVER…what I would say for feedback for the app, is to include junction numbers on the motorways/A roads, because when the police were asking me what his location was, I was able to tell them what the approximate area was, which motorway he was on and the direction he was travelling in, but unlike google maps, it doesn’t come up with what junction numbers are there, which means that I couldn’t say what junction he recently passed. It made locating him 10x harder, because I had to get google maps open on another device to try and pinpoint where he was, whilst in shock and was sobbing as he was unresponsive on the phone, and it would have made it such an easier process and they would have found him even faster, as it did take a good 5-10mins to figure out where he was. Please do consider including this on a more recent update, because it was something I never realised until I relied on it!Thank you for creating such a fantastic app though, because I’d have had no idea where he was if we didn’t have this app, and this was such a huge factor in saving him!
Never works

Lost my AirPods multiple times, a while ago I found my lost AirPod after months, lost in October and found in may if it’s lost for a while it dies making it IMPOSSIBLE to use the app, I was basically on top of it after it fell down the side of my radiator. Today I lost my AirPods AGAIN and after getting back from going out for an hour I realise it’s gone, I go to use the app but it only connects the one I have and plays, I’m rushing to go out again and don’t have time to look around, with one AirPod I go out and when I come back I go straight to looking for it, I check in the car, all over my room and when I go to try the app again it doesn’t even connect the one AirPod I have , now I don’t know if I lost it when I was out, If the app worked I would know if it was or not but the app dosent work at all, I’ve been looking for ages and if the app worked I would have found it by now.
Just DO NOT depend on this app

This app is terrible! 😞 I was hoping that apple would fix the problem but NO ThEy HaVe NoT! I just cannot find any of my family members’ phones or devices. When I really needed the app, it told me that I had to update my iPhone 12 Pro and that it’s running on an old version however I was already updated and had done so a few days ago so when I went to check everything was running as usual. I don’t understand how the app can do that. like I really needed it at most desperate times but this app had let me down again and again and again. Apple knows this and I know that many others have had the same issue so I don’t know why it’s STILL not working even after all those complaints. The stars are dropping down 1 by 1 and the reviews match mine I just don’t get how it’s so simple yet so far away to fix. Please do something!
