Growing up in Texas, I was surrounded by creativity and whimsy. My mother flipped houses throughout my life, my stepmother was a decorator and my father was always up to something imaginative, like transforming our dining room into a tropical bird sanctuary. These experiences fueled my passion for design. After moving to Chicago, I launched a luxury interior design firm called Inspired Interiors, Inc. in 2004, driven by a desire to bring a fun and experiential approach to luxury design. 20 years, 3 kids and 25 awards later, my robust team and I are still creating spaces that add playfulness and beauty to the way my clients live, love, work, and relax. From luxurious city penthouses and chic urban bachelor pads to large residential renovations and boutique commercial spaces, we’re always aiming to exceed every client's vision with exquisite, custom design solutions.
I believe that great design is born from collaboration between clients and our team. We work closely with our clients to transform their aesthetic dreams into stunning, functional spaces where everyday living is beautiful. We’ve been fortunate to receive several awards, including the Global Architecture + Design Awards and six American Society of Interior Designers Illinois Chapter Design Excellence Awards. In 2020, I extended our brand with Inspired Luxury Homes, a custom home building company that uses advanced 3D technology to help clients visualize our plans before construction begins. Being a female-led company in a traditionally male-dominated industry, we bring a unique and empowering perspective to custom home building.
Beyond design, I’m passionate about entrepreneurship. In addition to Inspired Interiors and Inspired Luxury Homes, I’ve been involved in several other ventures, including my father's international injection mold business and a vacation rental business in the Virgin Islands. I’m fascinated by all aspects of business and enjoy helping other women realize their professional dreams.

Nindita brings ideas to life through 3D renderings. Highly creative and collaborative, she helps to transforms concepts into visuals to help show the potential of each space.
Sarah smoothly collaborates with the entire team to design and see every project through to the finish line! Right now Sarah’s favorite design trends are mixes of bold colors with organic elements.
Ruth works closely with Emily, the owner, every day. Each day is filled with tasks for each local project and projects in the Virgin Islands. Ruth juggles A LOT!
Matthew is our local St. John Spider-Man. Mandavilla's guest satisfaction is his daily goal. Matthew goes the extra mile daily to ensure amazing vacations for our Mandavilla 'guest family'.
